Natasha from www.polishedpractical.blogspot.com asked me to join her on a blog tour and I couldn't say no. Not only that, but I wanted to take a break from my usual and share with you some insight on what goes on behind the pictures.

1. What am I working on?
I am currently working on a number of projects and collaborations but I'm keeping my focus on creating higher quality content for your visual satisfaction. Hopefully, I can use my blog as a stepping stone to further myself in the fashion industry.

Dance-wise, I'm training for fall auditions. I've been wanting to dance on a collegiant team since I was in high school and this year's the best time to do it.

Other than trying to graduate, I'm just trying to be better than the person I was yesterday.

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
In terms of the blogging scene now, everyone is just trying to be someone they're not. It's really hard to come by people who aren't trying to become the next Jenn Im. Too many are trying to obtain the luxury of the lifestyle she portrays without doing the work. I'm not trying to do it all, and everything I've done was done from scratch and done by myself. I'm just expressing my passion for fashion as honestly as possible.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I blog/model because it makes me happy. What's wrong with doing something you love?
I want to inspire others with my work to manifest their own fashion sense instead of being defined by the media.

Not only that, but my passion has also become my career. I've always believed that you should do what makes you happy, then money will follow after that.

4. How does your writing/creating process work?
Believe it or not, but blogging can be quite time-consuming especially when doing it by yourself. I usually have a photo shoot once a week. Prior to the photoshoot, my photographer and I will exchange ideas of what we want for the shoot. My photographer will process the pictures, I will process them again myself, re-edit and have them ready to post beginning of the following week. Then I post on social networks throughout the week.

When it comes to vlogs, I usually record everything in a month and edit by posting them in two parts for every two weeks. In between all of that, I'm usually answering e-mails to set up collabs and sponsorships or reaching out to brands myself.

Of course, not everything works just the way I listed. Several times there will be schedule conflicts, cancellations, etc., or the photographer I worked with stops communicating and I don't get my pictures at all.
Either way, it's worth the work.

Photography started off as a hobby for Jasmine of jasminebushphotography.blogspot.com but it quickly grew into a passion once she started Jasmine Bush Photography. She enjoys capturing everything from portraits to weddings because in her eyes they are stories waiting to be told.
