The Ultimate Skincare Routine
Long time, no write! I’m back with the must-have skincare products of the season. It’s a weird time if you’re hailing from the endlessly sunny Los Angeles area like I am where our winter is dry and chilly enough for a cardigan but somehow it’s also 80 degrees. With the current mandated mask situation, our skin is practically screaming, at least mine is.
Luckily Derma-E’s served up a solution or two with their firming and hydrating products. Cruelty-free and free of any parabens, GMO’s, mineral oils, petrolatum, phtalates, and sodium lauryl sulfates.
I’ve been looking for a super gentle cleanser for my double-cleanse situation. Just one cleanser is never enough to ensure you skin is crystal clean before hitting the sheets. Derma-E’s Cloud Cleanser doesn’t dry me out and it gets rid of any residual oil or build-up from make-up. I usually follow up with this product after removing my face with micellar water. Ps. The foamy texture is the best. It’s so light and it feels like a bubble bath for your face.
After cleansing, I’ll go in with Derma-E’s resurfacing pads. These guys are strong but it also means they’re working. I’ll lightly use a singular pad twice a week at most on the days that I’m not exfoliating. I try to keep it simple when I do. After one sweep of the face and neck, I typically feel a super mild tingle. These pads are meant to remove dead skin cells but I wouldn’t rely on this product as a sole exfoliant. However, this product’s really helped tackle some extremely bumpy cysts that surfaced, smoothing out my skin after three days.
Post-cleansing and exfoliating, I’ll follow up with some toner and apply Derma-E’s Firming DMAE Serum. I love how moisturizing this product is, and when the serum firms, it firms, baby . Frown lines used to be the bane of my existence but products like this serum and a huge change in diet and lifestyle has made a huge difference in the way I see myself. I used to think I needed botox or fillers to keep the youth from running off my face but quality products and ample self-care is all you need. Did I mention how much cheaper the latter is? Love me a product that makes me feel good and look good.
Last but not least, I’ll wrap up my routine with Derma-E’s Overnight Facial, which is literally a godsend for anyone who lives at dehydration station during the winter. If you’re like me and hates applying masks because you have to get up out of bed again, then this product is for you. I’m very get-up-and-go when it comes to my lifestyle and if I can deal with a mask in the morning, all the better.
What’s even better than a time-efficient skin routine, is one that works. This facial gets the job done without overdoing it on the nourishment factor. Sometimes hydrating products can be too hydrating and make your pores feel like they’re drowning. Good thing your skin’s lifeguard is this bad boy.
