ANGL Chiffon Basic // UNIF pleather zipper shorts // H&M black duffle Purse // Black booties and gold airplane earrings (not pictured) from Urban Outfitters
Let me just start off with the fact that bumping into Steven Yeun otherwise known as Glenn from the Walking Dead was a moment I had anticipated since I first fell in love with him Season 2, but never expected. #meetmeatthepharmacy (Imagine him with a baseball cap, maybe then he'll look more familiar) Excuse my lady boner. (Those shorts do not fit in all the right places without some much needed altering!)
Ps. Note his bare ankles. They drive me crazy.

On another note, I realized that I never got the chance to show off slash document my second pick up from the UNIF Sample Sale that I had blogged about a while back. I thought that pleather, especially in red, was a strong statement piece that has helped transition my wardrobe from summer into fall. Fashion as of late has consisted of statement piece on top of statement piece, a trend my wallet can hardly follow.
Because it's such a loud piece, I wanted to play it down with a basic button up from ANGL (which is a MUST for any wardrobe). Its chiffon texture and feminine look toned down the toughness of the overall outfit. I used to pair black tops with these shorts, but I felt that it looked more skanky than mature. I didn't want to take away too much from the shorts.
I've been trying to go for a more minimal and more mature look in my outfits without suppressing my own individual style. Experimenting with current trends is a great way to broaden your horizons in terms of manifesting your sense of style, which I totally encourage.
